
WNSC Hauls 50 + Medals at County Challenge Gala
West Norfolk SC lit up the County Challenge Gala on 28–29 June, racing to more than 50 medals and podium finishes in nearly every event. From sprint freestyle to taxing 200 m strokes, swimmers in every age-band produced personal bests and packed the medal table with purple highlighting West Norfolk’s reputation for turning hard work into race-day results.

West Norfolk SC stamped its authority on the 21–22 June Boudica Long-Course Meet, collecting a remarkable 210 medals across every age group. From 10-year-old debutants to seasoned seniors, WNSC athletes piled up golds, silvers and bronzes, many setting personal-best times along the way.
The younger squads laid an early marker with multiple clean sweeps in butterfly, backstroke and individual medley, while the teens dominated middle-distance races and relays. Senior swimmers then sealed the weekend, converting heats into victories and adding a stack of long-course qualifying times.
Head Coach Sarah Vanderloo hailed the performance as “a perfect example of our depth and team spirit,” noting that the club’s medal haul was its largest yet at this event.

Purple Power in Norwich: WNSC Masters Shine at County Champs
Eighteen West Norfolk masters lit up the pool at the Norfolk Masters Championships on 7 June, racing through a whirlwind 2½-hour gala at UEA Sportspark. With entrants aged 18-78 from three counties, the meet delivered fast, furious 25 m action—and WNSC made sure the medals kept heading west.
Across the evening the squad racked up an impressive haul of 40 gold, 35 silver and 15 bronze medals, plus a host of personal-best times and a new East Region Record from Nathan Wells that had stood since 2010 with a blistering 00:58.41 in the 100m IM!
With open-water season around the corner and nationals on the horizon, West Norfolk Masters are proving age is just a number—and purple really is the fastest colour.

Regionals – Long Course – 2025
Over three Regional-Championship weekends in Norwich and Luton, West Norfolk’s 37-strong squad harvested 17 medals and dozens of PBs: headline moments included Olivia Bradford’s 50 m butterfly title in a rapid 28.85 s, Valeria Soldatihhina’s multi-event haul (gold 200 fly, five silvers across fly, back and IM), Tobias Oglesby’s 17-plus 50 m backstroke gold, and senior sprints from Millie Harris and Tobias that added freestyle silvers to the tally, underscoring the club’s depth across strokes and age groups.

Storm Trident – April 2025
West Norfolk’s 28-strong squad turned the Sandwell Commonwealth pool into a medal factory at April’s Storm Trident National Qualifier, piling up 45 podiums and 65 long-course PBs; headline acts included Jamie Wilson’s four-medal butterfly–distance combo, 11-year-old Martha More’s five silver PBs, and age-group star Valeria Soldatihhina’s 200 fly/400 IM gold double, all underscoring the club’s depth heading into summer champs.

Hosting its Spring Open at Alive St James, West Norfolk rolled out 112 home swimmers—from 10-year-olds to Masters—and transformed the pool into a medal mill: 325 podiums and 600-plus PBs. Headliners Rejus Mazeika (14) swept an unbeaten 11-race run to clinch Top Boy, while Polly Anderson (12) bagged Top Girl with 10 golds in a 13-medal spree. Multiple clean-sweep age groups set the tone—West Norfolk took every medal in both girls’ and boys’ 200 m backstroke 11-year finals—and the gold glut kept flowing via Elizabeth Litvinenko (8 golds), Jack Baxter (5), Olivia Bradford (nine-medal freestyle sweep), Tobias Oglesby and Alexander Pattison (eight wins apiece) plus flawless weekends from Millie Harris, Milly Johnson and Valeria Soldatihhina. With fresh regional qualifiers in the bank and new kit from local sponsors on show, the meet showcased the club’s depth and momentum heading into the summer season.

Norwich Swans Open meet – March 2025
At the Norwich Swan Open 21 West Norfolk swimmers hauled 65 medals and a stack of regional times: 11-year-old Mabelle Chadderton swept both breaststroke and backstroke distances, 13-year-old Junru Cai rattled off nine podiums, and a six-strong 14-year cohort bagged 24 medals—highlighted by Madison Hicks and Olivia Bradford’s 1-2 in the 400 free—while seniors Daisy Simpson and Thomas-Arthur Jagger completed backstroke and breaststroke title doubles.

SwimmingResults.org—widely known simply as “Rankings”—is Swim England’s official online database that logs every licensed-meet result in the UK, letting swimmers, coaches and officials instantly check personal bests, historical performances and national rankings. After each race at a sanctioned meet your time is uploaded, and when you submit entries for Level 3 meets and above the system automatically verifies you meet the required qualifying or cut-off standards. While anyone can search the site, West Norfolk also mirrors each swimmer’s short- and long-course PBs in Swim Manager, streamlining day-to-day entries. As you progress to Regional or National level, meet entries are often made directly through SwimmingResults.org, so understanding how the platform works is essential for every competitive swimmer.
