Purple Wave Rolls Through Boudica Long-Course Meet
West Norfolk SC stamped its authority on the 21–22 June Boudica Long-Course Meet, collecting a remarkable 210 medals across every age group. From 10-year-old debutants to seasoned seniors, WNSC athletes piled up golds, silvers and bronzes, many setting personal-best times along the way.
The younger squads laid an early marker with multiple clean sweeps in butterfly, backstroke and individual medley, while the teens dominated middle-distance races and relays. Senior swimmers then sealed the weekend, converting heats into victories and adding a stack of long-course qualifying times.
Head Coach Sarah Vanderloo hailed the performance as “a perfect example of our depth and team spirit,” noting that the club’s medal haul was its largest yet at this event.
