Purple Power in Norwich: WNSC Masters Shine at County Champs
Eighteen West Norfolk masters lit up the pool at the Norfolk Masters Championships on 7 June, racing through a whirlwind 2½-hour gala at UEA Sportspark. With entrants aged 18-78 from three counties, the meet delivered fast, furious 25 m action—and WNSC made sure the medals kept heading west.
Across the evening the squad racked up an impressive haul of 40 gold, 35 silver and 15 bronze medals, plus a host of personal-best times and a new East Region Record from Nathan Wells that had stood since 2010 with a blistering 00:58.41 in the 100m IM!
With open-water season around the corner and nationals on the horizon, West Norfolk Masters are proving age is just a number—and purple really is the fastest colour.
