West Norfolk swimmers kicked off the 2017 Junior Fenland League season with a trip to Whittlesey.
An enthusiastic team of youngtsers battled it out with teams from Peterborough, Deeping, Huntingdon and hosts March in round one. As always this league offers the ideal opportunity for younger swimmers to experience competitive swimming in the company of their training companions.
There were several individual race winners on the night. For the boys Leo McNamara won the 11/u 50m butterfly. Campbell Pick took first place in the 12/u 50m freestyle and Daniel Grimmer won the 10/u 50m backstroke. Jack Sharpe swam to first place in the 9 years 50m breaststroke.
For the girls Erin Curl won the 12/u individual medley and Mia Halls took first place in the 9 years 50m breaststroke.
The team swam very well overall and gained confidence to take forward in to the next round.
